New Team: Rocker Board Shop
Please welcome new honorary Team Rocker to the MAWP Surfathon! Team Rocker is made up of the owner/crew manning this hip, boutique surf store located on Venice Boulevard and Grand View. Rocker Board Shop brings “female-centric” surfing to new levels of respect. Not only can shop-owner and visionaire Allison fit any grommet, wahine or loc into the perfect wetsuit, but you can see how her sic sense of style illuminates the shop…from gorgeous, locally shaped Scott Anderson surfboards to only the funkiest underground surf DVDs (Longer, Singlefin: Yellow). Artistic Arbor skateboards and sexy bikinis (that actually stay on when you surf, thank you) line the lofty walls. Men with killer style - not to worry! Rocker Board Shop carries boards you’ll crave and stylish clothes you won’t be able to resist (especially when you hear the Rocker ladies tell you how nice your bum looks in those board shorts!!). For more info visit www.rockerboardshop.com.
Look for the Rocker Team surfing the MAWP Surfathon during the evening shift - yay!! Thanks Rocker…you Rock!!
Can I get a Laird in da house?!

The event will take place at the Ocean Park Beach in Santa Monica at 2600 Barnard Way. If you would like to surf this event you can click on the “SURF” link at the top-right of this page to sign up.

The MAWP Surf-a-Thon will be rockin’!! You can expect two days of music and fun in the sun and sea. Look for the four white canopy tents stationed at the Ocean Park Beach near lifeguard Tower 26. This is a grass-roots event y’all, and we appreciate any and all the support you can give – whether you surf, make a donation, or bring your good energy to the beach on September 22nd and 23rd! So, bring your friends and family to cheer on the MAWP surfers as they catch waves and rip it up!!
Please check this website periodically for announcements and bulletins about this event as well as view our video stream of the team captains and some of the stoked surfers.
If you care about the future of our oceans, this is an extraordinary cause. We are grateful to all of you who are willing to help!
Peace, love and SURF’S UP!!
Sincerely,
Alex Winston & Tanna Frederick
